Description Ronan UA100 Urethane Activator/Hardener: Increase gloss and improve durability in Ronan Urethane Striping Paints. A must-have for pinstriping and hand-lettering when planning to paint over the top an automotive-grade clearcoat, that will not receive an additional topcoat/clearcoat. The Activator is required if applying pinstripes or lettering OVER a clearcoat or factory finish. If the art will be cleared over, then no Activator is necessary. The Activator contains the urethane component, which cross-links with the acrylic polyol in the paint. Once combined at the proper ratio (in this case, 8:1, or eight parts paint to one part Activator), a chemical reaction occurs that cures the paint film (much like a modern automotive finish).
