Plato‘s ESD Safe Shears are used to cut thin wires (copper up to .040″), leads from the back of circuit boards, and wires during cable fabrication. The 170LX and 175LX are used in ESD safe production and repair areas, as well as areas that are not ESD protected in order to dissipate static energy in a controlled manner. Features an increased hand grip, long handles, a responsive spring back action, and thin profile nose. The 175LX ESD Safe Shears have a permanently attached safety guard.
