The 2GT Toothed Idler series is specifically designed for linear motion, using a rounded tooth profile it ensures the belt tooth fits precisely in the idler groove. When reversing the idler direction there is no room for the belt to move in the idler groove, this greatly reduces the backlash improving motion consistency. These idlers are specially machined to closely match our Genuine Gates Unitta 2GT Timing Belt, practically to perfection.
