The waxed quilting thread range from Mettler has an extra coating of wax (2 coats) which allows this thread to glide effortlessly through lots of layers of fabric, perfect for hand quilting. This thread is made from 33% Cotton and 67% Polyester, This combination results in an especially high breaking resistance. This thread is a number 40 weight, slightly thicker and therefore shows more beautiful decorative effects. Due to its waxed finish, this thread is optimally suitable for hand quilting yet at the same time it has excellent qualities for quilting on your machine. Whether hidden or highlighted as decorative stitching, QUILTING works perfectly when used for machine or hand quilting and the cotton-polyester combination is always especially resistant against breaking.
